Longley Primary School
Project: Willmott Dixon: Provision and refurbishment of 2 double classrooms
Value: £200,000
Brief: The buildings used were previously at other schools so had to be transported to the site. Once on site we linked the buildings together to create the space and design the client requested.
The units were fitted out using energy saving materials and products where ever possible.
The interior was completely refitted including new flooring, plasterboards, painting and decorating, blinds and new toilets cubicles and washrooms
The building was set in the re-tarmaced playground surrounded by new landscaping. The exterior was clad in brightly coloured Plastisol coated steel, giving a very inviting finish to the school. The project was completed with the installation of ramps, steps and landings' ensuring that access is available to all.
